Briar Point Beach Reopened

RIDOH Recommends Reopening Briar Point Beach

8/2/2019  The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) recommends reopening Briar Point Beach for swimming because bacteria counts have returned to acceptable levels (48.1 MPN/100mL). Normal beach hours will resume on Saturday, August 3. The Town of Coventry and RIDOH will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout the summer season. The most up-to-date beach information is available on the Town of Coventry’s Web site and through a recorded message on RIDOH's beaches telephone line (401-222-2751).
