The Town Council is committed to interview every person who applies.
The Town Council will hold a Super Interview Day for a Board or Commission: Saturday, May 21, starting at 8:30 AM at the Town Hall. Interviews will be scheduled for a time, or just drop in starting at 10:30 AM for an interview. If you drop in, bring five copies of your resume and a letter indicating your specific interests. If you are not available May 21st, let the Town Clerk know when you are available for an interview.
Each Board and Commission has a different role in the community, with hours of involvement different for each one. There is one that will fit your schedule.
Consider applying for one of these boards or commissions:
- Coventry Housing Authority
- Friends of Human Services
- Library Board of Trustees
- Pawtuxet River Authority
- Planning Commission
- Sewer Sub- Committee
- Zoning Board of Review
- Sewer Assessment Board of Review
- Land Trust
If you are interested in applying for any of these vacancies, please visit https://coventryri.org/apps-town-boards and click on the application for the committee you wish to apply for. Then fill out the form completely and submit it to the town clerk's office either in-person, by mail, or electronically. You'll then be contacted to arrange a time to come in for an interview with the town council for consideration of an appointment.
